There will be no Kids Cafe tomorrow so all Summer School kids will be dropped off where they are picked up in the morning. If you drop your child off please plan on picking them up at 11:45. This weeks grades 7-12 summer lifting/conditioning workout times Monday-Friday: 6:30-8am- open to anyone 9am-11am- boys 1pm-3pm- girls 3pm-4pm- open to anyone We want to see everyone there everyday! We did not have a good turnout last week. Please make sure to make this a priority. This is something WPS is offering to get our students where they need to be physically and healthy. If you have any questions, please call the school and talk to Adam James. Please take advantage of this great opportunity to get better. Hope to see everyone this week!

Reminder that Summer Band Lessons have begun. Available for all 5-12 graders interested in band for next school year. If you have not signed up, you still can on the School website. Go to the Activities tab, click on band and the summer lesson form is there. Or email Mr. Garthoff at jgarthoff@winnebagok12.org to set up a time.

Lifting/conditioning schedule this week for all WPS students entering grades 7-12: Monday-Friday 6:30-8- Open 9-11-Girls 1-3- Boys 3-4- Open Our most in a day last week was 37 kids! Let’s make it a priority to get 40 everyday this week. If you want to be your best, this needs to be priority number 1!

Yearbooks are in! We have 100 copy’s. If you have paid Bosch already you have one reserved. Bosch will be at the school Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-3. They are $30 for students and $60 for staff and community members. If you have any questions please contact Bosch by email bdenton@winnebagok12.org

We hope everyone is having a great start to summer! Just a reminder that summer school and clubs will start tomorrow at 8:30. Pick up will begin at 7:45, please have your child ready and watch for the van. Please be patient- we hope to have all students picked up by 8:30 but the first week there is a lot of figuring out to do. If your student is not picked up by 9am and you signed up for transportation, please call the school or Katie- her number is on the handouts. We can not wait to see everyone tomorrow!!

We will be starting summer weights and conditioning tomorrow. This is for students of WPS going into grades 7-12. Please look at the picture on our schools Facebook weekly updates. This week we will have this Tuesday-Friday. 6:30-8am is open for anyone. Boys session is 9-11am this week and girls 1-3pm. 3-4pm session is for anyone. Sessions for girls and boys will rotate each week. The other times are open to any. Please make this a priority! It is important for all and we will take notice of participation for activities. If we want to be the best, all need to work outside of regular practices. We have set up time for those with jobs. Awards will be given throughout the summer!

Reminder: SYEP Job Fair is tomorrow morning beginning at 9am – 12pm at Winnebago Public School Practice gym. All youth that applied with SYEP are required to attend. Today's activities: NSAA state track- Dyami will run the 1600m race at approx 4:15pm at Omaha Burke stadium.

Today's activities: State track at Omaha's Burke stadium. Dyami will run the 3200 at approximately 4:40pm. Check the race out live on the big screen or come support in Omaha! Grades 7-12 fun field day at at the football field starting at 1:30pm! Lots of fun games! Come hang out and have fun.

Summer School and ESY letters have gone home to K -8 students who qualify. Please return no later than Friday, May 19. K-8 Summer School will run June 5-July 13 Monday through Thursday with July 4th off. If you need another copy or have further questions please Contact Katie Danielski or Katy Williams at the school.

State track shirts are here. They are 15$ per shirt. First come, first serve. They can be purchased at the front desk.

If any student in 4th-11th grade is interested in Band for next year, Summer Band Lesson sign up is on the School Website. You can find it under the Activities tab. Instruments offered are Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion. Lesson times are 30 Minutes, and you can sign up for any time slot on Monday's 9-12 or Tuesday 12-3:30. If you have any questions, please let Mr. Garthoff know.

Academy Scholars and Parents/Guardians, Today at 5:00 PM we are having an open house event for Academy Students and Parents to drop by the WPS cafeteria to learn about the mandatory summer camp and complete required paperwork. A meal will be provided for parents and scholars to take home. We are aware that the 9th grade scholars will be in New York. We would still like 9th grade parents/guardians to come have dinner and turn in forms!

Academy Scholars and Parents/Guardians, Tomorrow evening at 5:00 PM we are having an open house event for Academy Students and Parents to drop by the WPS cafeteria to learn about the mandatory summer camp and complete required paperwork. A meal will be provided for parents and scholars to take home. Academy Scholars came home with a red folder containing important camp documents. Extra forms will be available at the open house. Some families have already turned in forms. If you’re unsure if paperwork is completed or submitted, please contact Macky Scott at sscott9@unl.edu. All Academy scholars need to attend summer camp. If a scholar cannot attend camp they will need to speak with NCPA staff and complete an excuse form. We are aware that the 9th grade scholars will be in New York.
