Junior Academy scholars and Parents, This is a reminder to have your scholar at the WPS parking lot tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27th by 7:15am. They will be transported by Ms Fernandez to UNL campus for Junior Shadow Day. This is a mandatory NCPA event. Scholars will return to the school at aprox. 3:30pm. Thank you!
PreACT and ACT Day tomorrow:
Tomorrow all juniors will be taking the ACT test right away in the morning here at school. They need to be here by 7:45 to eat breakfast. When the juniors finish the ACT they will be dismissed for the day. That should be around 1:00 PM.
Freshman and Sophomores will be taking the PreACT and need to be at school by 8:00 to eat breakfast. They will spend the afternoon participating in fun activities organized by the school.
Please get plenty of sleep and eat well tonight so you are ready!
Due to anticipated ice and snow, WPS will have a 10am late start tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26th.
The senior trip to Dave and Busters will be postponed until a later date.

The Jh track meet and HS boy's golf tournament for tomorrow (Monday) has been cancelled due to weather. Hs boys golf will be moved to April 2nd.
HS track for Tuesday has been canceled due to weather.
We will be giving away Addams Family t-shirts while supplies last. The show is approximately two hours long. We will have a short intermission with light refreshments. We will also have a showing tomorrow evening at 6:30 as well. T-shirts are for opening night only, but refreshments will be served during intermission on both evenings. Hope to see you all there.

The Academy is accepting applications for open positions in the 2024-2025 Freshman Academy class. If your student is currently in 8th grade and interested in applying, stop by the front desk, or see Mrs. Pixler to pick up an application. Applications must be received by the end of the school day on Friday March 15th. There is no essay or teacher recommendation required at this time. Those items will be obtained by Mrs. Pixler at a later date.

WPS will be hosting our second annual speech showcase on Tuesday, March 12 starting at 5:00. Like last year, we will provide pizza and drinks. We're asking that families, if they can, provide sides and/or dessert. Performances will begin at 5:30 in one of 3 locations - stage, band room or choir room. A senior/parent ceremony will follow at 6:45 in the theater. Hope to see you all there.
