The Academy is accepting applications for open positions in the 2024-2025 Freshman Academy class. If your student is currently in 8th grade and interested in applying, stop by the front desk, or see Mrs. Pixler to pick up an application. Applications must be received by the end of the school day on Friday March 15th. There is no essay or teacher recommendation required at this time. Those items will be obtained by Mrs. Pixler at a later date.

Please join us for our WPS Spring Fling on Monday 3/18/24. Our K-5 students are invited to bring one adult to the dance from 5:00-6:30. The JH dance will be for 6th-8th graders only from 7:00-8:30. Families are welcome to drop them off and take pictures. Pizza will be provided. Hope to see you there!
WPS will be hosting our second annual speech showcase on Tuesday, March 12 starting at 5:00. Like last year, we will provide pizza and drinks. We're asking that families, if they can, provide sides and/or dessert. Performances will begin at 5:30 in one of 3 locations - stage, band room or choir room. A senior/parent ceremony will follow at 6:45 in the theater. Hope to see you all there.

We are sad to say that Cone Park has closed for the season so we will not be able to go there for our February attendance incentive. Instead, we will be going bowling at Plaza Bowl on Feb. 28, 29 and March. 1. Last day for attendance check will be the end of the day on Feb. 23 and the March incentive starts on Feb. 26th. Keep up the great work making attendance a top priority!
