Jared Doxey is the class C 285 State Champ. 1st in Winnebago history. Congrats. He will be heading home and traveling on 75 through Macy and will let you know when he gets close to Winnebago so you can cheer home your STATE CHAMP!!!!

The state sendoff and blessing for the 5 qualifiers for the nsaa state championships in Omaha for both boys and girls will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at 9:30 AM in the main gym. Girls wrestle Feb 18 and 19 The girls will leave after the blessing Tuesday heading through town towards Macy and then Boys wrestle Feb 20-22 the boys will leave at 3:10 pm on Wednesday, February 19 going through town heading towards Macy.

Congratulations to the following speech team members for their awesome performance at the Homer Stars Speech Meet on Feb. 14. Shyleigh Horn, Jredyn Rave, Dimi Walker, Ariayla Suniga, and Kenny Nieman for their 6th place finish in Oral Interpretation of Drama (OID) Shyleigh Horn for her  5th place finish in serious prose.  Tylie Chilson for her 4th place finish in serious prose.  Tylie Chilson for her 2nd place finish in program of interpretation (POI) Alen Whitewing for their 1st  place finish in program of interpretation (POI) Tylie Chilson for her 3rd place finish in poetry Alen Whitewing for their 4th place finish in poetry Baylee Bass 5th place in impromptu. Alen Whitewing 4th place in impromptu.  The team finished in 3rd place overall. Tylie Chilson received 4th place individual sweepstakes medaling in all 3 of her events. The team has a well deserved break next week. They will travel back to Homer on March 10 for the Lewis & Clark Conference Speech Contest.
