The school is currently beginning to implement a new attendance tracking system. You may get a text or email updating you on your students daily attendance. If you receive this, please don't be alarmed. We want to make sure parents and guardians are aware of their students attendance. It does not mean your student isn't at school. It could mean they were late for school or missed a period at some point during the day. Do not be alarmed, you can call and check there absences or check them on your students online goedustar accounts. Thank you!

Depending upon which sport you will need to add the corresponding password for each team. The orders will be mailed directly to their home or PO box is also available. Tomorrow's JH/HS cross country meet at Hartington has been moved up to 9am due to heat.
Today, all activities will be inside.
Due to extreme heat, all outdoor activities will be moved indoors today. This includes recess and athletic practices. Practice will still take place, but may be shortened.
Due to extreme heat, all outside activities will practice inside the school. We will still have practices. They could run shorter.
Picture day at WPS will be Monday, Sept. 11. We will start with kindergarteners at 8:15am and move up through each grade.
All orders will be done online through the Digital Solutions website. We won't be using order forms this year.
Picture retakes will take place on Wednesday November 1st.

Reminder:
It is school policy that drinks and food not be delivered to the school during instructional time. Student will be allowed to have these delivered or gathered during their scheduled lunch times. If drinks or food is brought to the school for a student, it will be left at the front desk until the students scheduled lunch time. So please communicate with your student about their lunch schedule. Attached is a picture of the student/parent handbook. This picture will be located on the School Facebook and website. Thank you for keeping our instructional time important!
Good morning!!! First day of school today. Today and tomorrow are both 1pm dismissal for all students. Breakfast is served before the tardy bell rings at 8am. Can't wait to see everyone!
