The HS District Cross Country date has been moved up to Wednesday, October 11th due to the weather forecast. Girls will begin at 4:30pm and boys at 5:15pm. Districts will be located in Fort Calhoun at Fort Atkinson State Park. This information can be found on the school's Facebook or Website.

For HS football parents: The football team will be leaving at 6:30am Thursday morning to travel to Standing Rock, ND for their football game. The game time is 6pm ct and will be broadcast on: YouTube.com/@mustang-warriors-siouxx21719 We will be standing over night tomorrow night in Aberdeen,SD. The team will travel home the following morning, Friday. We should arrive to Winnebago no later then 3:30pm. Please contact Adam James at the school with any question.

Tomorrow October 4th, we will start our second round of Monthly Attendance Goals. If your student has a 90% or above attendance rate meaning they do not miss more than 1.7 days of school this month, they will be rewarded with a Movie Theatre Incentive during the beginning of November. At WPS our goal is to have a monthly student attendance rate of 90% or above this school year. This includes excused and unexcused absences because every year the State of Nebraska evaluates WPS on the total number of absences accrued throughout the school year. Keep up the great work!!!

Just a reminder that students who had a 90% or higher attendance rate from Sept 11-29 will go to Tilt this week for their incentive. Grades K-3 students go tomorrow, grades 7-12 students go on Wednesday and grades 4-6 students go Thursday. They will be there from 9:30 to around 1. Keep up the great work everyone!!
