Precious DeCora Parents/guardians: Dulcie Paiva and Mitchell DeCora Favorite Memory of High School: When Miss Shipman took us to Goodwill to find clothing and make it into something else. Before going to the store, we went to McDonald's and had breakfast, and on our way back, we looked for these little black containers hidden around. You use an app to find them, but I forgot what the app is called. Favorite Class(es)/Why: My favorite class was Fashion with Mrs. Shipman because I loved doing the projects, especially paper piecing. She makes her classes fun. And I'm pretty sure I've never seen her get mad. Overall, she's a nice person who tries her best to help everyone. Favorite Teacher(s)/Why: Mrs. Pick, because she holds you accountable for the things you need to get done. And she doesn't hold your hand the entire way or coddle you; she makes you do the work, unlike some other teachers. Mrs. Pick can be pretty funny, too. Most influential adult/Why: My mother, because she works non-stop to keep the family up and running. She always helps others to the best of her ability. I'm positive she went to all my wrestling meets, and one year she helped buy snacks for the team. Future Plans: My plans after high school are to attend Southeast Community College and wrestle for them. While there, I'll be working to get my associate's degree in nursing. After that, I hope I can intern somewhere. Words of Wisdom to Underclassmen: Don't skip class because it becomes a habit.

Ira Rave Sr. and Vanessa LaRose Favorite Memory of High School: The summer of my sophomore year, I had the chance to visit the Black Hills. The scenery was beautiful, and I explored different parts of the country. Favorite Class(es)/Why: I loved Mrs. Bennes' class Reconnecting Youth. In that class, I was able to express my emotions with no judgment. The environment was so calm, I was surrounded by some of my best friends which made the experience more enjoyable. Favorite Teacher(s)/Why: All of my teachers will forever have a special place in my future career. I couldn't have chosen a favorite, but Ms. Rachel Palmer. She was my 7th-8th grade English teacher. She was my main influence on my now-decided choice of employment as a teacher. Even though her job was just to teach me, she also helped me learn to love myself and become who I am today. Ms. Palmer made me realize that being a teacher is more than just a job title, they can be role models, mentors, a support system, and an advocate. Most influential adult/Why: My late Choka Louie LaRose is who I look up to the most. Before my Choka passed away in my junior year he was my biggest supporter. He never doubted me and encouraged everything I was doing to follow my dreams. Outside of our family, he was a councilman and he worked diligently to advocate for the Winnebago Tribe. Future Plans: My main plan is to continue to pursue my love for education and become a teacher. More specifically, I would like to come back and teach Hochunk to our little relatives. Words of Wisdom to Underclassmen: Lock in my relatives
