winnebago football field

In the past 10 years, the Winnebago football team has faced some challenging times; however, that seems to be changing. Since the spring football tournament has started, the Winnebago Indians have taken the spot of being the number one seed in the nation. Taking on Eagle Butte, Lower Brule, and even Marty. Winnebago has always kept the opposing side to 6 or below. When the Indians went head-on with Eagle Butte, they set the tone of the game right away with a touch-down and beat them 54-0! They had to travel all their way there, but it was all worth it after winning the game. The player of the game was Jamison Robinson with a total of 3 tackles and a touch-down. Lower Brule and Marty both had to travel down here to get their L, beating Lower Brule 20-6 and then defeating Marty 30-6. Winnebago had a “Bye-week” last week, but they’re back at it tonight as they take on TZ. It is “Senior Night” so come on out and watch as Caleb Kearnes, Gabe Bassette, Elijah Vargas, JT Bass, and Asaias Bernie play the final home game of their high school career. Come show support to your Winnebago Indians and pop out. They will let in a total of 1,000 people so be there or be square.
